Triple Triad - Rare cards from raids

I am a T13 WAR. I have no personal problem with cards obtained from raids specifically.Hi friends!

As many others, I'm very excited for some information about Triple Triad and the Golden Saucer, I'm really looking forward to it!

But I have a small niggle...

I understand the concept of having rare cards drop from raids and such and I am jumping to conclusions that these items won't be tradable! Even if this isn't the case, please treat my post as a player's voice advising not to go there in the future.
Ideally, only have cosmetic upgrade to cards drop from raids, I'm talking about holographics and such. It's a real shame to push the card playing demographic into parts of the game they might not necessary enjoy.


I have two friends very excited for Triple Triad, one has beaten T7, one has beaten up to T4. Neither of them are interested in raiding and just want to enjoy the game as it comes.

Again I'm jumping to conclusions here but I doubt they're alone in this. A player that is good at Triple Triad shouldn't have their deck limited by their ability elsewhere in the game. These are two totally different demographics! Please don't limit players by pushing them into content not related to what they're interested in.

TL;DR
Players who raid don't necessarily play card games
Players who play card games don't necessarily raid
Don't mix the two for any reasons other than cosmetics

So far all vanity stuff from raids has been trade able thus far it has only been craft items to make furnishing. Triple triad is just another vanity system you can expect people to sell these cards on the market boards. If you want some rare card drop from a raid you can buy it form the market boards I am sure.

The Card Game is not so much vanity as it is a mini-game. The cards will be something you can make money off of if you don't use them. I mean... If you got a Black Lotus, and didn't play Magic the Gathering, I'm pretty sure you'd still be pleased as punch to sell it off. Unlike Minions, which just follow you around, Card Games are competitive, and a good card is something really useful.

For some reason i think they've implemented getting the same cards from multiple sources.

Like you're concerned you can only get said card from said monsters in said raid, but maybe you could get it there and also for some GP at the golden saucer. Or winning it from an NPC.

If the cards are tradeable (outside of the game where you could get a card from the loser if you win), then it should get bounded the moment you use the card in one game. So only unused cards are tradeable.

i have a feeling that if there ARE any that drop from coil, they won't be as good as ultra rare drops from lower level dungeons. Because eeeeevil.

Have to beat him within the time limit!
