Triple Triad - Rare cards from raids

I am a T13 WAR. I have no personal problem with cards obtained from raids specifically.Hi friends!

As many others, I'm very excited for some information about Triple Triad and the Golden Saucer, I'm really looking forward to it!

But I have a small niggle...

I understand the concept of having rare cards drop from raids and such and I am jumping to conclusions that these items won't be tradable! Even if this isn't the case, please treat my post as a player's voice advising not to go there in the future.
Ideally, only have cosmetic upgrade to cards drop from raids, I'm talking about holographics and such. It's a real shame to push the card playing demographic into parts of the game they might not necessary enjoy.


I have two friends very excited for Triple Triad, one has beaten T7, one has beaten up to T4. Neither of them are interested in raiding and just want to enjoy the game as it comes.

Again I'm jumping to conclusions here but I doubt they're alone in this. A player that is good at Triple Triad shouldn't have their deck limited by their ability elsewhere in the game. These are two totally different demographics! Please don't limit players by pushing them into content not related to what they're interested in.

TL;DR
Players who raid don't necessarily play card games
Players who play card games don't necessarily raid
Don't mix the two for any reasons other than cosmetics
