Application has stopped working

So lately, randomly, I will get this straight windows error saying my Application has stopped working. This is the only game that crashes randomly and not sure why. I have been play since release with several times of different installs (randomly reinstalled it maybe, or reformatted who knows, just providing this for information.)

My only guess of why its crashing is I was using fullscreen window mode instead of fullscreen. While I was using full screen mode I never recieved a crashed. When I changed the full screen window mode I wasnt really crashing that was noticeable, but that has to be my only guess? I changed to fullscreen and will see how it goes. I will deff post back with results though, got this page bookedmarked.

When such an error comes up, it is usually not the application itself, but rather another application or DLL being loaded into every process's address space.

Looking at your Sysinfo, your Realtek HD audio driver is from 2012, please download the latest from the Realtek website.

You also have Radeon Graphics software running on your machine (fuel.service.exe), the Catalyst drivers do not clean themselves off properly, so if you have recently switched from AMD to Nvidia, please clean out the AMD display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller.

And Teamviewer 9/10 are known for causing this as they inject an overlay dll into every process, even when not actively running.

I downloaded the latest Realtek 64 bit drivers and now my sound stopped working. I downloaded these here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false named "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1 Driver only (Executable file)".

Since my sound stopped working, im unistalling it, and trying the 32 bit now.

The fuel.service.exe is actually AMDs application for the motherboard its for the AMD cpu.

I unistalled Teamviewer.

edit 2: yeah man, I can't be just updating my sound driver from the Realtek website. It even says before download the HD audio drivers, "Audio drivers available for download from the Realtek website are general drivers for our audio ICs, and may not offer the customizations made by your system/motherboard manufacturer. To be sure you obtain the full features/customizations provided in your original audio product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's website."

So I just went back to my motherboard provided audio drivers @ http://www.gigabyte.us/products/prod...d=4455&dl=1#dl.

I don't think its my problem at all. I think its somewhere within the application of FFXIV.

edit 3: wow, i knew i shouldnt have fucked with my sound drivers. now my shit aint working at all for some reason and i installed the ones from mobo site.

Install the latest sound drivers again and change the default sound device back to Realtek, it has possibly changed to the hdmi audio device present on the graphics card, or knowing Realtek, the jack detection logic is poorly implemented on that motherboard, you can turn jack detection off in the Realtek audio control panel.





Its not the game, if it was the game everyone would get the issue: since its only you, its isolated to your system and whatever it is loading into all application processes.

So sorry about the post early. I found out that I actually had my front speakers configured to be the backs, so when I updated the sound drivers they didnt work at all. I noticed when I plug them in the same port the sound in Realtek would ask for it to be back speakers. So when I plugged them into the other green port, I was asked if these were the front speakers, then finally they worked.

I just reformatted to be honest, then i installed the latest from their website and it works fine. Im reinstalling FFXIV, i doubt the problem will occur again. Will get you updated, once again got this page bookmarked and will come back with results (even if they are good). So people have this for future references.

Kinda makes me wonder if because my front speakers were plugging into the back ports on my motherboard, maybe thats why it was crashing? Who knows, that was one big thing that was changed, i remember plugging them in one day and forgot which go where, but they worked so i didnt bother to check if the port matter, etc.
