Lower End PC, 30 FPS limit?

So I no longer have a Gaming Computer. The PC that I have to work with for the time being isn't too good. After tweaking my settings I run at usually 30-45 FPS and in populated placed I sometimes drop to about 25. Would limiting my FPS to 30 help at all?

I mean since I don't usually go too far ahead of 30frames won't it be a tad easier on my PC?

I think the framerate limit is mainly used to prevent screentearing, not to increase performance.

I went from a PS3 to a PC. I bought a basic graphics card and my frame rate is at about 30 to 35. Which for this game is totally fine. If you are worried about it, under settings/graphics, in the top right hand corner it says desktop standard. you can change that to laptop standard and it will make your game run smoother. FPS only really matters in games like online shooters, where lag is a huge problem.
