    Any chance of new abilities with Heavensward?

    I love playing my warrior right now, but the gameplay is just a little slow. I'm hoping that Square Enix will implement another off the GCD ability for damage, but I don't know jack about how this expansion will work.

    Did SE ever say anything about new abilities? Think that these new abilities will be off the GCD and increase gameplay speed?

    As with every MMO I've played ranging from XI, wow, rift, and a series of free ones; Expansions raise the level cap. Heavensward confirmed a level 60 cap; as such there will be new abilities for every job. My guess is 2 job abilities one at 55 one at 60; plus 1-2 traits, and 1-2 class abilities (or in the case of the new jobs without classes, abilities that are not on the 5level increment like the job abilities are)

    The level cap is going to be 60. The chances of new abilities being added to all Classes/Jobs for the new 10 levels is 100%.

    The question is, what will they be?

    I'd personally love to see PLD get a new combo chain, make it more engaging like Warrior. And maybe yet another mitigation CD.
    Likewise Warrior should also get some form of mitigation CD, and maybe a TP regeneration ability for when they need to spam Overpower. (T10 2nd add phase)

    Know what would be cool?

    Giving PLD/WAR abilities that actually aid the party instead of just mitigate damage.

    PLD has 1 native ability that works on another party member (Cover) and that's it. Right now, both WAR & PLD just feel like you're watching the rest of the party do everything and you're standing there just trying to mitigate damage. It'd be nice to have a more active roll in the party's success rather than just Not Dying to big hits.

    Here's a crazy idea, though I would imagine that the devs already have the lvl 51-60 abilities planned out.

    Shining Shield
    30s Duration, 180s CD
    All healing and beneficial effects received are also applied to all party members within a 20y radius.
    *Enmity generated by these heals is credited to the Paladin*

    We now have short term mana efficient group healing, mass regening, mass in-combat stoneskin and adlo, with all of the enmity going to the tank. "Group utility"

    Ohhh that Shining Shield sounds very nice. be useful for when new adds appear and then healers don't have to worry about pulling Aggro.

    Ohhh boy! +1000000 for this.
    Abilities which make tanks help whole team like a " support class " even while tanking.
    Pld already got cover and War got path and eye (both help ur team), but I want more!!!


    Plus, I'm pretty anxious for DRK. My main is war, but I think I can change my focus *--* Drk seems pretty awesome.

    I would love for Warriors to get a dps stance besides just no Defiance. However I imagine that might be a bit unbalanced so I dunno how it could work
