Au Ra and earings

This was already brought up in another thread, but since it was more than 400 posts into that thread, could easily be missed, so I thought I'd give the question a thread of its own.

Au Ra appear to not have external ears. So what happens to earrings? Are they attached to their horns instead? Do they become non-visible gear and we all just ignore the fact that they're disappearing into nowhere?

The idea of a race without external ears wearing earrings is pretty odd unless SE gets around that problem with some terminology adjustments. So do they become "horn-rings" or something whenever you're playing an Au Ra?
