Materia I and II Spirit Binding - What and where.

So its all good with Materia III and IV, but what about Materia I and II?

What is the fastest way to get Materia I/II for Crafting, Gathering and battle materias?
Where do you SB for low level battle materias
Do you spam low level crafts for craft materias

    etc.

Anyone got a few answers for me?

I do it in south shroud where those courl(?) poachers are. I just run in a circle there, and by the time i get back to the beginning the first ones have respawned. It goes really fast so dont really need a group.

I do this for 1 materia but i could see it being effective for 2s cause the poachers are level 29 and so level 30-36 gear should bond just fine there as well.

For Grade 1, you can just cheaply buy off the lowest level craft gears from NPC. Wear the set and go fight the level 1-5 monsters just outside of cities, you can bond them within 10 minutes. As for Grade 2, like Someguy mentioned the poachers are best place for them. If you want loots of some worth, the Apkallus near Costa Del Sol drop the egg that you can farm for extra gils while spiritbonding for grade 2. Mythril tier accessories will always give grade 2 (or 3 on low chance) by the way.

As for Savage Aim/Might, it's always from either DoW or DoM gears that gives them at random chance so there are no specific best gears to get them. Just bond them with the job you are comfortable to do this with.

Or wear them in low level FATEs while you hunt atma.

There is no best for Savage Aim/Might, just pray to RNGsus.

Mayeria 2 can be spiritbonded in the urth's gift - south shroud 33,22
The best results u can get from lvl 40-44 items. You may also use lvl 36-39 items but it may be slower than 40.
Use GC's spiritbond potions, Meteor Survivor ring and GC's Patriot's Chocker/Braselet to speedup process

Actually, I'd recommend NOT using gear that adds to the Spiritbond rate. The reason is simple : that's a piece of gear you are not going to convert into materia. Adding a few more monster kills to the total is a small price to pay for increasing the number of spiritbound items from 7 (or whatever) to 11 (or 12 if using an offhand item). And that's assuming you're using your best main hand item, too.

But, whatever you are spiritbonding, craft it yourself and make it HQ. Make a few sets so you maximize your time spent. And if you have a few tier 1 materia lying around, that you have no use for (Strength materia, mind materia, lightning materia, etc.) meld one to each piece of HQ gear you intend to spiritbond. Those simple steps will increase your materia yield per gear set AND increase your materia yield for your time spent over using NQ, non-melded storebought stuff and some + Spiritbond gear.

Do use the buff though, if you can swing it. It only helps, it does not hurt.
