    Unable to change screenshot folder

As of a few weeks ago, I am unable to change my screenshot folder. When I try to do so, it says "Specified folder is read-only. Could not change.". I get the same message no matter what folder I specify. See screenshot below.

I suspect a couple of things that might be causing the issue:

    1) I recently installed Google Drive and I'm thinking it may have set all my Windows folders to read-only as part of some sort of protection while it's syncing.

    2) I did a little bit of housekeeping and moved some stuff around. The folder in the screenshot folder path no longer exists which might have screwed something up.

If you know how to fix this, PLEASE HELP! I'm all out of ideas and with this new xmas event, I have already missed out on so many screenshot opportunities.

    Many thanks!

    Matang

Some things that I have already tried without any luck:

-Removing read-only tag from some/all folders. It immediately puts it right back on.
    -Disabling Google Drive and rebooting.
    -Running FFXIV as Admin.
-Returning settings to Default. Screenshot folder path does not change.
-Creating a new folder and using that instead.
-Using an external storage device (USB stick). This worked! But it's not a very practical solution as I rarely use external storage devices these days.
-Uninstalling Google Drive. No luck. It does not appear to be related to Google Drive.

If you create a new folder on your desktop and try switching the destination to that folder will it work? Or if you have any external storage, usb stick, sd card, you try saving directly to one of those. If you think the Google drive is the issue, could uninstall it and see how that works.

Thank you very much for your suggestions, Eye_Gore but unfortunately they did not work. I can save screenshots on my USB drive for now until I get this fixed but I would like a long-term solution.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? This is insanely frustrating...

Can anyone help?? I'll try anything before having to call SE and deal with their horrible customer service...

I tried this once I came home and can confirm that setting desktop folder will give this message.

However, creating a new folder on the desktop and setting this as Screenshot location works.

I get a feeling this is intentionally restricted by the game for whatever reason. My security settings are fine and Windows UAC is not active.
