Please allow us to join all three companies

Spoke to Yoshida about this to get an answer for you all. You can only belong to one Grand Company and once you join one officially you will be unable to switch allegiances. With that said, we'd like you to check out each of the Companies beforehand and decide which you want to pledge your allegiance to.

That kind of lame, i want to join gridania, but im force to join limsa because it has my weapon class.

Can't they all give same equipments? I really do not want to join Limsa just for the sake of my Weapon collection.

P/S I do not mind joining only "one" company, but i would not like to be force to choose a certain company due to their items.

Seirra, I believe they had said in an interview that future Company gear would be tradeable/sellable, don't quote me on that though. Also don't forget that there will surely be other sources of high-level weapons even if the trading/selling thing is incorrect.

Bayohne, is there any info if we will be able to help our buddies in different companies with their company-specific quests? It would be nice if we could all choose where we wanted to go instead of having to settle on the same one. So far it doesn't seem like we need to be of a specific allegiance but I just want to be sure.

it should be like in FFXI where you can change nations by doing a quest that way if you started in Sandy....but wanted to play DRK and needed centurion gear (since Sandy's gear sucked) you could switch to Bastok....that's how it needs to be...not this crap

I'm in the exact same boat, and I completely agree. Each company should offer weapons/armor for all classes. Even if the stats aren't identical, they should be comparable. I also opens the door for more diverse appearances for gear. If the stats for complete sets of gear (weapons and armor) at the 3 companies all added up to the same totals (even if they were distributed differently across the different pieces), then in end-game scenarios we'd have 3 different types of appearances rather than everyone running around in the same gear. This is how I would like to see Grand Companies work -- a chance to offer more variety.

As long as either:
- Rewards/weapons in line with the Guilds of the city the GC,
- All GC's off all weapons/gear for every class,
- No class/job gear is offered as a reward in GC's from this point on.
i'm fine with being locked into one, (i prefer the 1st option/ 2nd is probably best for the masses)

And i do think being a member at low level of all is acceptable,
But not at hi level, the low level association could have its own content helping that GC by order of your GC.

But i would hate being forced to pick the storyline i want over the items i'll probably want if we go the way of gear placment from 1.18.
(I chose Grid over LL purely on the guilds suiting my character, (and KotM from that) after really enjoying LL in beta.)

You know...if they limit us to only 1 company without being able to switch or help our friends on their quests, everyone will probably end up sticking with Uldah...just like with everything else...

I am very disappointed to hear that we will not be able to change companies. One company might suit us for a while if we are playing one class type, and then later on if we level a different class, another company might be more appropriate.

I fine with restricting us to one company at a time, but not ever being able to switch is not fun at all. I hate being required to choose one or the other permanently. I would not mind if there were limits on how often we could switch, if there were quests required to switch that were challenging, a gil requirement, etc. Just let me have a way to change my mind later in the game.

For Grand Company quest which you can obtain company seal, are there ones you can repeat?

軍票がもらえるクエストやコンテンツは、パッチ1.19を皮切りに段階的に実装していきます。
With patch 1.19 we will start releasing quests and contents which you can obtain company seal.

正式に所属したら、他の2国のは脱退扱いになって、軍票はなくなるんだろうか
When officially assigned to one country will the other two country be considered released and will the company seal be gone (for those other country)

ただし、将来用途が発生する可能性も踏まえ内部データとしては保持されます。
Yes it will be gone, but for future there may be possibility to use them so the internal data will be stored.

Don't forget that there will be airships coming so people won't be completely flocking to the Ul'dah company out of convenience. There's tons of people that are going to go to Limsa or Gridania if you ask around.

BloodLotus, I got from that that they would be "disabled" but they are still saved in the event that we can eventually change companies.
