Seems like you are all missing the part of the producer letter where it says that after joining a single company, further rewards will be tradeable. Meaning it is like FFXI and you can just buy/sell any items unique to a particular company.

So unless it launches and this was a lie, there is nothing here really to complain about.

I'm the few that thinks it should be a permanent decision. You are joining one company and following their rules and whatnot. It's logical that you should only be able to join one company. I mean it's bad enough you get to do almost the same exact missions for each one.

Leave us the decision but make it permanent

Sorry if this has been addressed already. At first this was something I would have liked, but after doing the first three recruit quests, they felt too similar as is. I don't want to do the same content three times every patch day. If this leads to unique and varied storylines for each GC, then I'm all for a method of being able to change allegiance to see the different stories, but if they're going to keep with the "make everything pretty much the same" route, I'd rather they go with locking us in to one company.

Spoke to Yoshida about this to get an answer for you all. You can only belong to one Grand Company and once you join one officially you will be unable to switch allegiances. With that said, we'd like you to check out each of the Companies beforehand and decide which you want to pledge your allegiance to.

That kind of lame, i want to join gridania, but im force to join limsa because it has my weapon class.

Can't they all give same equipments? I really do not want to join Limsa just for the sake of my Weapon collection.

P/S I do not mind joining only "one" company, but i would not like to be force to choose a certain company due to their items.

Seirra, I believe they had said in an interview that future Company gear would be tradeable/sellable, don't quote me on that though. Also don't forget that there will surely be other sources of high-level weapons even if the trading/selling thing is incorrect.

Bayohne, is there any info if we will be able to help our buddies in different companies with their company-specific quests? It would be nice if we could all choose where we wanted to go instead of having to settle on the same one. So far it doesn't seem like we need to be of a specific allegiance but I just want to be sure.

If they don't let us do this I guess everyone will be moving back to Ul'Dah again..
