Inns are now pointless

...Perhaps they should give us double rested exp if we log out via our personal house, FC room, FC bedding, or inn room?...

Inn is the only place we can logout/logon on the bed ^^; Logout/logon on the bed provides special emotion.

First of all, they need to let players logout/logon on House beds, it has been requested since housing was implemented.

To make it more "point", I would suggsest the player will receive an random item like retainer venture if the rested time for example over 8hr.
(the message can say you have found <item> on the bed/under the pillow..etc)

I personally don't like the rested exp while standing around. Makes the game a little basic I think. Logging out in an inn or at your house should be the only rested exp.

Haha back then when the game just came out i would always make sure to rest in the inn and log off so i can get that
Bonus "RESTED" exp i read about.
But one day i got lazy and logged off in gridania aetheryte and then boom, next day i have rested exp.
Then i noticed all u have to do is enter a sanctuary and log off to get the exp boost.
From that day on i only go to the inn for hairstyles, watching CSs and a game of parley which i will never understand y it is implemented without any kind of reward besides the player's " enjoyment".

Inns were a quick response for people who wanted Mog Houses in 1.0. There hasn't been a use since 2.0 came out and now that player housing is out they really aren't even needed. The best way to save them is find a way to work them into a private chamber of sorts.

Houses are still pricey, so I think the inns are still needed. I agree houses should have rest ex and able to log out via the bed. I wish they made an emote for lay . It'd be nice to actually lay on a bed instead of sitting on the edge.

Coombah there is a lay emote for the FC beds. You have to /doze near them and your character will idle in a "nap"

There was discussion (maybe during the Tokyo fan fest?) that the aesthetician bell would be created for private housing, leaving only the mini games and watching skipped cutscenes. With the advent of the Golden Saucer, the mini-games will likely be a thing of the past.

Still, these are useful to new players, and I remember I religiously logged out in the inn room before logging off before I got an FC home.

As Eurykho pointed out, stand over the bed and /doze. You'll still appear outside the house standing outside the door when you log in though.

Inns are more reserved for players fresh to the game whom definitely do not own a private home and may not be part of a FC which does. I see no issue in this, and would like to see houses become more and more convenient as time goes on.

I don't see an issue with inns. They are still used to watch cut-scenes, play mini-games and the aesthetician.

To ask them to bump the offline xp bonus to double is just plain greedy. If anything they should give that incentive to FC's and private houses since those actually require effort in obtaining and inns are free to adventurers...
