Why would it be a joke? At a guess, they simply craft roughly 32 i55 green items and you turn em in for seals and buy your core.

Can't be bothered to do the math, plus server prices mean you should look on the Mb to see if it's worth it, but selling this isn't a terrible way to make gil I'm sure.

Ok, I misread the OP. But even then, that's still pretty steep for something that can be done on your own in a reasonable pace.

The dungeon grind alone will get you 80k GC points by turning in the random armor you obtain.

Correct Sir! The materials we use are all hand gathered so the cost of production of these items is negligible and the profit margin is good. Certainly this isn't for everybody, but as with everything else some people simply have more money than time to play or simply wish to be finished with this step.
