The game is already in trouble anyway, queue times for new players are out of control - the game ain't going to be growing further if this continues.

This turned from a thread about an adorable fuzzy Arcanist pet into an 'ermagerrrrd the game is dying' thread really fast. News flash - the game is fine. The queues are only out of control if you're a DPS, and that's pretty universal across MMO's that have a queue style system. Look at the class breakdown for your first clue why. Add to that the fact that support classes like tanks and healers are always going to have less people playing them. That's not going to keep the game from growing, though. I'd like to see some proof that the game is "already in trouble" and "ain't going to be growing further," otherwise this is just pointless fearmongering.

Well ... it's been over a year (or at least several months) since such a request was made (not by me, I wasn't on the forums until last month). Still no action. Not even a response. My patience has began to wear thin. :/

We confirmed with the Battle team that there are currently no plans to allow summoners to call forth carbuncle.

Not our fault you didn't use the advanced search feature and check mark the box "dev tracker" with the search word "carbuncle" either. But that's besides the point. It's not currently in there plans *is* the point.

Maybe they will surprise you at some point, maybe they won't. It doesn't matter if you don't like their answer or not. Complaining about it isn't going to do too much good in the manner you are going about it.
