It's been over one year of pleaing ...

Now the "shut up and quit" people will no doubt show up. Well ... I have quit before over this (and boredom with the endless grinds). Currently at the brink of doing so again.

If this hostile attitude is how you are going to treat your fellow players ... enjoy your "ever increasing number of cash shop items to compensate for sub loss" game I suppose.

I would love to see carbuncle usable by jobs as well, but you're exaggerating the importance of this one request. It doesn't mean SE doesn't listen or are hypocritical just because they don't change this one aspect of the game to suit your liking.

Kinda off topic, but;

They should just condense all the existing Classes into one, and have it work similar to 1.0s Physical/Skill Levels. Equip a weapon without a Job Crystal, you start leveling those skills on Freelancer while also raising your Freelancers level to the cap. Jobs are unlocked the same way as currently (Paladin requires you have have Gladiator skills and Conjurer skills), skills are unlocked by raising the Skills Levels. Give Freelancer the typical "Improved stats the more you master" trait to make it a viable option come endgame, and....

Done. You want Carbuncle? Play Freelancer with an Arcanist weapon equipped for those skills. All Classes become viable at endgame in one neat little package.

I have made countless suggestions to make Classes "viable". Each and every time they were shot down because some people here don't want Classes to compete with their precious Jobs and want Classes to remain useless.

SE also doesn't seem fond of cross-class skills anymore given that the 3 new Jobs have no base classes. They are truly going the WoW route of "simple classes" with ultra limited customisation - so it will easy to balance for the hardcore 1% who will QQ over a miniscule difference in DPS.

When I reply to you in your own threads I try to be polite and curteous, despite disagreeing with you on some of your ideas, and I ask you leading questions hoping to aid you in refining them.

I don't have a problem with you expressing your opinion. I have a problem with how and when you express your opinion. By the time I read your post in that thread, It was not the first time I'd seen you villify SE for not giving you Carbuncle. I probably shouldn't have called you out in that thread. It was a little tactless of me, but I was tired of seeing it.

You accused me of freating you like my enemy. I don't see you as an enemy. I see you as a stubborn school child who keeps asking for candy in increasingly tasteless ways when Momma SE and Poppa Yoshi are trying to set the table for supper.

I can see that. But your main post is insinuating that because they don't give you this one thing,that SE are hypocrites who only "talk the talk" and not "walk the walk".

Imagine a local shop advertises that they do their best to listen to customer requests and so ten customers ask them to start selling ten different items. The shop decides to sell nine of them. Are they hypocrites or liars for not selling that tenth item?

Even the most accommodating of businesses can't fullfill every request. It doesn't mean that what you're asking for wouldn't be cool and it doesn't mean that the business is a villain either.

A lot of the people here want what they want, and will tear apart, blame, or vilify anyone who doesn't adopt their view.

The worst is when you try to be neutral about any topic, because it actually just means both sides will join up to beat you with a stick. What you are seeing here is that you made a fairly neutral and reasonable post, with a tinge of disappointment. This is pretty much the number one way to bait crazies/over reactive forumgoers. You seem sure of yourself, reasonable, and aren't siding with them. Its some sort of psychological thing.


Protip to avoid the worst of the forum: Anyone who quotes several times within a single post is used to arguing their daily post limit and is trying to "squeeze" what they can do in the day. Or those who feel the need to reply to each and every person disagreeing with them. When you see this behavior (and its not far away from this thread), you will know who to just ignore. Its a waste of your time, cut the line.
