A lot of the people here want what they want, and will tear apart, blame, or vilify anyone who doesn't adopt their view.

The worst is when you try to be neutral about any topic, because it actually just means both sides will join up to beat you with a stick. What you are seeing here is that you made a fairly neutral and reasonable post, with a tinge of disappointment. This is pretty much the number one way to bait crazies/over reactive forumgoers. You seem sure of yourself, reasonable, and aren't siding with them. Its some sort of psychological thing.


Protip to avoid the worst of the forum: Anyone who quotes several times within a single post is used to arguing their daily post limit and is trying to "squeeze" what they can do in the day. Or those who feel the need to reply to each and every person disagreeing with them. When you see this behavior (and its not far away from this thread), you will know who to just ignore. Its a waste of your time, cut the line.
