well while I do want the scalier skin, we already have cat-people who don't have much fur at all. When will people make a stand for true furry miqote?

Or potato lala for that matter.

In all seriousness just because whatever the norm is in other settings doesn't mean SE need to follow suit.

It's just an excuse so he can say "because they're half-dragons they must add this option or it's wrong". Same kind of logic people were using in the Miq'ote thread where they were claiming that the Moonkeeper mouth option without pronounced fangs needed to be changed because of lore (even though it fit with the lore).

for the Fur of the miqo'te it can be explained quite easily, the fur is used for keep the body temperature, but with the clothing the body need less fur, naturally the body will adapt and reduce the quantity of fur, like the homo sapien did loose him own fur with time.

why i'm against the idea of full scaled skin is mostly because they have come with an interesting idea where the scales are still there but not dominant, and like i have said before they are hybrid. people simply did wanted a more bestial race, more different or something else, however, if you look at the number of people supporting it, do you think it worth the time and money invested inside this feature instead to add more haircut, more face and customization of them original concept?

This, to me, is a similar situation to Highlanders and their eyebrows.

Just because Highlanders ritualistically shave their eyebrows to appear more intimidating doesn't mean *ALL* Highlanders must do so (in other words, please can we have one eyebrow option).

Just because Au Ra are hybrids doesn't mean there aren't or shouldn't be some that have scalier skin than others (I understand these arguments aren't identical, this' just for illustrative purposes).

I don't see the harm in giving us this option. It's a win-win. If you don't like it, don't apply scaly skin to your face in character creation.

I'm against fully scaled Au Ra, because of what I heard, Au Ra aren't half-dragon. They might be either descendants of dragons (that slept with humans long long ago) or cursed/blessed(?) by dragons. The latter is more reasonable imho.
I might have read somewhere that Odin got his sword from an Au Ra. This must have been before the allagans sealed him away. And considering how long the allagans are gone now, that's quite some time!
Let's say long before the allagans disappeared there where some dragons sleeping with humans or cursing/blessing some humans, which produced the very first Au Ra. I guess, these first ones wouldn't have slept with dragons rather than with other Au Ra or humans. In the following long process of mixture between Au Ra+Au Ra or Au Ra+human, their dragon-blood might have run thinner, making the scales grew fewer. (just guessing)

But since we've not gotten enough background-story to this point I say SE would have reasons not to make them too dragonish.

They could've very easily satisfied the fanbase by making the two clans actually different. They were pretty lazy about it, imo.
