There's a middle line lol. You can't expect people who are actively hunting to wait on you for 10+ minutes just so you can nab free seals. I say waiting more than 5mins+ is being nice. Expecting someone to wait 5mins+ for you is bordering being selfish.

This. You never know how long people were waiting prior to you arriving. For all you know they were waiting 5+ minutes already before you got notified so the term "early pull" is subjective.
