How do you distinguish between the two ? How do you decide who to boot, and who not to boot ? Either way, there WILL be people complaining that they're booted. I guess the second option works - having more booth / AH points. If AH gets implemented then it'd be good to have that.
Also please note, I'm referring to botting, by anyone. Not restricted to RMTs, common misconception is ONLY RMT break the rules - that's not true. Looking at a bigger picture, a normal player can easily monopolize an item / price fixing if he's wealthy enough - not necessarily an RMT. WITH a bot, he doesn't need to worry about not being able to buy an item outside his play time, his bot will make sure he's going to buy the item using a reasonable preset bid / within range pricing even when he's sleeping. That's unfair advantage.
What MW CAN do right now, is to deter that kind of automation. Unless someone can show me a bot which is able to automatically buy an item off a Market ward, I would say it's currently impossible to do.
I'm all for AH if they can achieve the same thing and ensuring that I can buy whatever the hell I want, and if someone beat me to it, they need to make damn sure that it's a real life person making that purchase and not some automated script automatically bidding on the items that I need. Then I would say I lost fair and square.
Another thing I can assure you however, if you put a system that can buy everything in one spot and dealing only through point and click menus, a script can be easily written to handle that.
