[Dev Question] Will we need to buy Heavensward twice if we play on both PC and PS4?

Hi, if I play on both PS4 and PC will I need a registration code of Heavensward for each platform? Or will the Heavensward key simply unlock my whole account for the expansion?

Don't know the offical answer but I think you have to buy it for each system you want to play on because it was required to buy the game multiple times to play on more then 1 system.

I'm thinking yes? You can't buy only one copy of FF14 right now for all platforms, so I imagine it'll be no different for the expansion.

If it works like Final Fantasy XI you will have too. I would expect to purchase multiple copies.

If it's like XI then it works like this.

You only need 1 code for your account however you need 2 copies if you want to play on ps4 and pc because you still have to download them seperately.

Basically I think it means this:
you can borrow a person's PC version to download the game and use the ps4 code to register the expansion and you are good to go.

At least if I recall correctly that's how it worked in XI

i would expect this to have a code you put into mogstation and it checks your account making it attatch onto your account.

to those saying you do with XI i will say thats a 2006 game that still follows 2006 practices. so i am hoping this will be updated.

I have a friend that has both versions for PC and Playstation, PLUS two accounts because his wife and son also play. He had to buy the game 4 times to be able to play characters and swap systems with them... Sounds like the same will end up being true for the expansions... Really it would be nice if there was a reduced charge for just registering an additional system code though...
