But... sadly we are being funneled into a cookie cutter build for each job. In terms of finding "what works best", that has always been the case even now with jobs and gear ilvl and it's not going away. However, if your crazy build somehow manages to be on par with respective jobs (or even a different role), then why should we discourage the freedom to do such build? That way we could move variety in our playerbase playstyles. We could perhaps see an evasive tank as a pugilist or rogue, or maybe a swashbuckling damage dealing swordsman, or a pseudo geomancer of a conjurer.
