nay dood ~!

For reference, I hopped onto the forum, saw this thread title and looked into the job expecting it to be Time magey. It really isn't, and I went into the thread looking for it. I'll grant you that the Time Mage is a mage with control over time AND space, but this Job seems less about manipulating space and more about using it's predictions to my benefit.
No. No thank you.

I was trying to find a good thread to post this in, and I decided on this one because at least one person seems to be confused about the job's origins.
I think it's worth noting that the Japanese names for these two new jobs (Astrologian and Machinist) are the same as the two jobs from Final Fantasy Tactics (for Orran Durai and Mustadio Bunansa). The only change is that the final character for Astrologian was changed from 士 to 師 to match the naming convention for XIV; 士 is for fighters and 師 is for casters, but they have the same pronunciation and similar meanings. Alternatively, because 占星術師 is the actual Japanese word for an astrologer, and 占星術士 is not.
Machinist = 機工士
Astrologian = 占星術師
Wow, we get a whole bunch of new stuff and people still complain on the forums.
Show me one thing that makes this a Time Mage.
If anything, it's more akin to the Orator class from FF:T.
Astrologian is perfect, acceptable and there's zero reason to want to change it, other than for simple sake of being stupid about it

This is closer to a Red Mage.

Wow already we have this. We know very little about the job already and still people complaining. No, please dont change the name.

If they could just call it "Astrologist" I'd be happier, because Astrologian is just really weird to say.
