Hotspot advice needed, eternal bonding

Not quite sure where to post this, but i guess right here is as good as anywhere, hopefully.

Just lost internet connection yesterday, have not gotten it back and they won't be sending a technician out to fix the problem for a few days.

We'll... My ceremony is tomorrow... And right now I don't want to have to reschedule. So I'm wondering if it might be possible to run FFXIV on a cellular hotspot for about 3 hours or so. How stable would this be, and about how much bandwidth does it tend to use? If there's anyone on the forums who might have tried it before, thanks in advance for any help or information you can give.

I actually do this quite a bit as my Wi-fi isn't the greatest.

It's like 50-100mb for around 3 hours... as long as you aren't doing anything in the background I reckon you should be sweet. Only times I've disconnected from it are when I forget to charge my phone and it dies hah.

Unless you have an unlimited hotspot with full bars the game is going to crash on you a lot. I am currently showing a 1.2kbps ping from the game, and cell signals are more of a pulse format, which is why streaming on a smartphone can suck at times.
