you forgot the whole bunch of Ivalice games, which are all interconnected.
Yeah, 10 is confirmed to be related int FFX-2. Shinra, one of the al behd, is confirmed to be the ancestor of the founders of Shin Ra corporation in FF7. They are not the same world, though, as the FFX world eventually settled other planets via space travel some point in it's distant future. Or FF7's distant past.

Yes. As for Ivalice, we have 12, we have tactics which is an ingame book that might be true, might be not. And there is tactics advance that's a dreamworld imagined by an earth kid based on what his friend told him about final fantasy tactics.

I wouldn't take a tongue-in-cheek comment made by Yoshinori Kitase during an interview as 'proof' of that though - it's never been confirmed in any official capacity either in FFVII's Compilation or FFX itself - the character Shinra and his comments about 'planet energy' and 'building a city that never sleeps' is just the same sort of thing as the Ascians having the names of the Scions of Light from FFXII - a name reference for fanservice and nothing more.

The fact Kitase joked about it during that interview shows even he didn't take the idea seriously and was just having a laugh at the interviewer's expense at actually considering such a ridiculous idea.

The world of VII shares very little with the world of X, even if the planets are completely different the physics of the universes simply do not match up.

    - In VII there isn't a single pyrefly in sight, Summons behave differently with no equivalent of fayth, nor is there an equivalent for the farplane, and people don't require sendings on Gaia to avoid becoming fiends. You can literally walk into the farplane in FFX, again, something with no equivalent in VII, else the whole "very important person being dead" thing may have played out much differently.

    - In FFX, there's no such thing as Materia or Mako despite there being tons of dead people floating around everywhere, which would be a disaster case in FFVII. Were it the same universe, anyone who walked into Zanarkand (or the farplane) would have likely died from mako poisoning.

If this is a real connection stated by SE, then it was very clearly made up after the fact likely on a whim, with no intention of it happening during either FFVII's initial writing or FFX's.

I put nothing past them for FFX-2 though, it was on a completely different level story wise, just like that terrible novel they wrote and called canon. And if these are the same people who butchered VII's lore to make Advent Children / Crisis Core / DoC happen (and later FFXIII lol) then i'm not at all surprised.
