Idea for a Viking Job

AoE Melee dmg dealer that would use a stance system like a BLM for managing TP. This stance would be called Beserk in which the Viking would apply AoE to his attacks for a higher TP cost and then when he turns the stance off he will recover TP at a higher rate or a rate dependent on how much TP he has left. He uses double Axes to get the job done and wears up to chainmail armor.

I don't have the details sorted out but that would be the general idea of the job itself.

sounds interesting, but what would they do in things like primal fights that only have a single target? Does he keep the stance off the whole fight? There has to be a trade off to make them viable for things like that.

the stance would make viking a mandatory speed run king, and people ask for only them, also the stance would be like a song lasting as long as needed, using either the tiny mp said physical would have or block tp regen

Interesting class idea, but I would despise seeing a class that higher TP recovery without the introduction of ways to either increase your TP pool or increase your natural TP regen using the Materia system. Instead, a class like this would probably be better suited to having skills with low TP costs (like 30/40 TP) that are single target, and then skills only available in a stance that cost no TP, however, the stance drains your TP and stops you from recovering TP while it is up (Drain at a rate of maybe 100TP/3 Seconds, essentially 30 seconds of AOEs). Also, the potency really couldn't be on par with BLM either, as this is a melee class, assuming then that they have access to instant cast skills, higher armor rating, and a higher HP pool than the BLM. The AOEs would maybe have a potency or 120-150, and also have to be combo skills (1-2-3)

Warrior is basically a viking, uses axes, has helms with horns on them, has a move called berserk already. This sounds like Warrior combined with BLM's MP management gimmick.

Yeah, really does, but I'd prefer if the Viking used dual axes instead of a single axe. I'd also like to see a dual sword class at some point too.

i hope they are saving dual axes for Beastmaster, but my gut says they will probably get a whip if they ever come.
