Tanking and ability snapshots

When tanking Turn 5 in 2.0 it was important to track when death sentence was going to cast because the second she started casting it if you didn't already have a CD up it would ignore it and the DS would deal damage like you didn't have your CD.

Basic snapshot mechanics that are used already, like putting up dots with buffs up even if the buffs fade the dots maintain their buffed potency.

My question is if this is still in effect like on Nael's Ravensbeak if she's casting it already and I use Rampart or Inner Beast (depending on what I'm playing) will it drop the damage 20% or will it hit like I never had the CD since I fired it during the cast?

You have time if you hit it before 30-40% of cast bar is full.

The bug tank killer moves are extremely predictable after some practice they become second nature. DS is more random then any move after it.

I always pop CD when the boss cast bar is around 50%. it seem to work so far.
