Get a full set of topaz HQ accessories. Parry is amazing on warrior (it adds 16 automatically on each piece) and you meld str instead of vit materia (absurdly cheaper). The skill speed is alright, but your last on priority for getting TP in fights so running out early doesn't do you any favors. The main reason I love the topaz is because of the big parry boost, as it's your only defense (you can't block) and they have made the final content in such a way you will be tanking at some point on something every fight.

The SS is very important for WAR so you can get over 400 and fit in 9 hits during zerk. (390 is the minimum but a lot recommend 420)

I think people sometimes neglect to realize that Wrath Abilities give you a huge buffer on your TP. Three minutes on a dummy in Defiance and I'm at 800 TP still, out of Defiance I'm down to 400-500. Also, SS synergizes well with warrior because you'll have less down time on your wrath stacks.

Only thing that sucks about the Topaz gear is the Parry though :S.

Trust me; the Strength you'd gain from melding Topaz completely outweighs any number of secondary stats you might be missing otherwise. Don't worry too much about it; the meld should still increase your DPS by 20% or so.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be more cost effective to mix and match i130 DPS/Tank accessories to get a similar effect as overmelded i90 and for a hell of a lot less? I mean much of the tanking accessories this tier has Crit and Det widely available. If you take a DPS bracelet you can pretty much spec your accessories to have zero parry.

Now that the i130 Tier is out, the i90 accessories have gone from giving 65 STR at the cost of 30 VIT at max accessory level to giving the same STR at the cost of 60 VIT. For every i130 VIT accessory you trade for a i130 STR accessory, you're trading 23 STR for 27 VIT. It's generally inefficient to trade the stats in this particular manner because you're losing more in VIT than you're gaining in STR. Even in this tier, the i90 accessories end up giving more STR than lost VIT, so they're still the best option. Albeit, health checks later on have encouraged the mixing and matching of i130 VIT accessories and the melded i90.

How many i130 accessories do you have? At this point in the content mix matched i130 would be pretty rare.

Lucky tanks with multiple i130 left sides can use 3 ruby, 2 slaying etc.

By the time mix matching is a thing i110 melded will be out.

Oh a quick question: would introduction of i110 crafted accs cause a drop in the price of i90s?

I realised I never plan to do serious content (T9 and above) and would probably do Extreme primals on it so I won't need i110 accs after all.

The one thing you have to keep in mind: do you have all 5 i130 accessories for melee and tank (so 10 total pieces).

This is where 99% of players will fall off. And by the time you do have all 10 pieces, the i110 crafted accessories will be out already giving much better stats.

The second thing, you can actually try this with i110 accessories. But no matter what combination you do, ie 3 vit acc + 2 str acc OR 2 VIT acc + 3 STR accessories, your stats will always be less than the penta melded i90 accessories.

Cheaper? Most definitely. Better? No, unless you have all 10 i130 pieces already.
