The Maiden's Rhapsody multiple parts?

With how long the event is scheduled for, how relatively short the event is, the open ending of the event, and the promise that "this new event was created to match the scale of the grand finale (of FFXI)" I've been assuming that we'd be getting a second or third part to the event, kind of like the most recent Little Lady's Day.

Well the event has been going on for nearly a month now, and still no sign of a second part. As much as I'm still hoping for a continuation of this event, I'm starting to think it's not going to happen...

I think we can honestly say there won't be more parts to it - usually when an event has multiple parts that consecutively unlock (like the FFXIII Lightning event), they state as such on the Lodestone complete with a timetable of when to expect each part of the event. The Maiden's Rhapsody, however, has no such timetable or statement. Really,

Iroha's 'staying in Hydaelyn/Eorzea' at the end of the event

is merely a wry in-joke that this really is the end of FFXI's story and that the baton has been passed to FFXIV so to speak - and not a hint to expect further parts of that special event to unlock later.

Of course I may always be proven wrong though!

She has some connection with phoenix I think so unlikely because there can only be one phoenix.

The Phoenix that materializes in Eorzea is one of aetheric origins that appeared due to a certain person's efforts; it's not the one that appears in Vana'diel or the otherworld of Dissidia which is of a higher plane.

It's, more or less, Eorzea's version of the deity since each of the worlds is in their own dimension. You can only assume, then, that the definitive versions of any such creature is that of Dissidia's.

Anyway, he said himself that the Phoenix was an old legend about a bird that was reborn from its own ashes, thus why he picked to become it.

Maybe the diety from Vana'diel once appeared in Eorzea in a time before time and sparked the very legen Louisoix became.

It was somewhat short and rather... anticlimactic? I can't speak for the ending of FFXI, but I wouldn't imagine it was a series of dynamic events with flashbacks, they hyped it up a little too much here. That being said, I still enjoyed it, and got a nice armour set out of it.

Although I only saw it on youtube (as to actually see the ending myself requires I either get better gear that pushes me to i120+ OR I get carried), the ending is pretty damn awesome and blows the XIV event out of water (which doesn't really match FFXI's Rhapsodies storyline at all. It's just a tacked on nostalgia trip).

I only say what I said so as to be mindful of others who choose not to watch certain media.

All you said is a 'maybe'; as it stands, the Phoenix in Vana'diel actually has a backstory. The one in Eorzea doesn't. Because both worlds are in different dimensions, you can't know if it's able to travel dimensions at will, so it's safer to assume that the creature is different than its counterpart.

Still, given Iroha's choice of weapon and how things end (it's been weeks since the event launched, we're well past /hb now), I'm so hoping Samurai will be part of a push for multiple Jobs for classes. Gridania needs a tank!
