For those of us interested in playing proper Au'ra, would it be possible to get the naming conventions for the new race. It may take me a while to settle on a name I like.

It's the equivalent of the Bat Signal, but with an ahriman on it.

Fernehalwes is the English localization lead who is on the world lore team and acts as the metatron of head loremaster Banri Oda.

Unfortunately for frequent lore forum posts (but fortunately for pretty much everything else) cool-lore-guy Fernehalwes has been spending a lot more time being professional-translator-guy, special-guest-guy, and all-around-getting-pretty-famous-in-the-FFXIV-community-guy Koji Fox.

Well, poor hypothetical Fernehalwes / Yoshida caption-meme, at least. LOL

In reality, and this is just a guess, I imagine that when you compare only spreadsheets of translated text and back-end team meetings with some of that and going around the world meeting all the people who love your work and rocking out with Soken, the word "promotion" doesn't quite cover it. ("Sleepless promotion" might get halfway there.)

For what it's worth, I know he reads the forums, but I think he's lost the time required to draft posts and get confirmation and approval and see it through to the boards, as I know a few posts he was planning on have slipped through the cracks for now. Even so, I often come across lines in the game that way too specifically give clarification we asked for or reference jokes we've made to think for a second that they're not at least paying attention to us.

I'd count on the Au Ra conventions turning up at some point, though. You can't just leave a race out on the forum's most popular stickies.

Joke aside, considering their race name is in two part, maybe their name itself is in two part too, kind of like miqo'te with the tribe letter if you see what I mean. (hope it's clear enough xD)

Edit: oh wait.. Technically it should be lore god Oda, lore pope Ferne and then lore bishop Moose

Moose isn't a cardinal yet? And I wonder if Yugiri is going to be similar to how the other Au Ra are going to be named. I kind of hope not though.
