The choco exp thing makes no sense. You are bored waiting for a fate so you would level your choco, but won't because the exp to level is to high? /confused

Warp to town change jobs them go to the fate.
Chocobo xp isn't bad. Do your weekly 100 kills plus feed your bird when you log in and off each day. I'm rank 15 and put very little effort into lvling.

It's... really not exploitable. The abilities we get are hardly overpowered, and abilities which are cross-class are also kept on the same timer so you can't use Blood for Blood on CC and then swap to Dragoon and use it fully. It simply won't work that way. Besides which, each job has their own specialty so it's not like you're suddenly the worlds greatest DPS because you used Dragon Dive on Dragoon and swapped to Monk for a totally different fight. Nor would you be the 'worlds greatest paladin' by swapping to White Mage between fights to top up HP... since swapping back would mean you'd have the WHM's HP max not a Paladins.
It's a silly argument, and a silly rule.

This could all be solved if they got rid of the ridiculous cooldown on GCD skills and just have a cooldown on off GCD abilities (like hallowed ground, Convert, Benediction). This way, let's say I'm fishing near a fate, fate pops, switch to PLD, my hallowed, bullwark, sentinel, rampart and whatever other off GCD abilities are on their cooldown but at least my GCD weaponskills are ready to go, like savage blade, flash, etc.
This doesn't work already. Any buffs you have, such as hallowed ground or benediction (but more commonly protect), are removed when you switch jobs.
Oooh, shiney...
