Okay, really this is just confusion more than anything. I'm one of many who has brought this up in Moogle and thought I'd voice this on the forums.

Why are the new items MOSTLY outdoor furnishings? Does SE not understand their 20/30(?)/40 item limit is EXTREMELY restricting as is? Furthermore, who the hell puts a Christmas tree outside of their house? Secondly, who puts presents under a Christmas tree outside of their house? I know this is just a game and things are different here, but who puts bloody presents outside of their house? The most important items this Starlight event are those which their placement makes absolutely no sense.

Now I can understand that you can't put Wreaths on the door, but the fact that you can't put any of those items inside the house that SHOULD be put inside the house really ruin the atmosphere IMO. All we need now is for these items to be one-placement only and we all may as well not even bother.

You decorate the outside so that if you are running around the housing district you can see them all =o

What would be awesome, if we received a "Container" Item, that basically allowed us to mask an item as a "Gift box" until you used the gift box, and then it would show you the item inside. Would make for cool FC Gift Exchange events

But you can buy three Christmas trees, and people will probably try to get them all. Not a single one of them can be placed inside, nor can the presents. No one will just run around areas looking at other people's outside-Christmas-ness. I could understand if one or two be placed outside while the third inside, but already people are struggling with not having any more room for the outside of their houses. The cap is too heavy. And MOST of the items that are placed outside an FC house are most likely bind on placement, so if you remove them, you're screwed.

Not only this, but the event is Non-Subdivision. Meaning FCs/People have to teleport to another ward, so no one goes to Subdivisions and people who were lucky enough to get a house first will also have extra people coming into their wards. Silly IMO.

But the FC gift exchange would be nice, yes.

But they are running around in the housing areas looking for the outdoor christmas trees from other players.
They are part of the daily christmas quests.

Yes, I understand that. But players, self included obviously, wanted one for inside the house. We have little space AS IS for outside placement of objects, and this is coming from someone who owns an FC with a large house. There simply isn't enough space outside, and it makes no sense whatsoever that they didn't include a single Christmas tree that could be placed inside the house, as is tradition.

Yeah, but this is a game and an MMO. What's stopping them from making next year's rewards include an indoor "Starlight" tree? We have to have something new. So you didn't get one this year. Look forward to next year.

I think the outdoor decorations are great. Plus there ARE indoor decorations as well.

The only point I can agree on is that limited item space they give us to decorate our yards. My FC has a small house and even though we have 20 items in the yard it doesn't feel cluttered. If anything I feel like I should be able to put more decorations up. Yet to do that I have to remove other ones that I already like. That part sucks.

Don't worry, you can only put one xmas tree in your garden, not all three (unless you can put 3 different types, can't remember from the text but it seemed just 1 tree total)

It's just one tree per yard. The reason is, like someone stated earlier, is for the event. Depending on the color of tree you pick affects what drop you get. The blue, red, and yellow drop things are worth 2 green drops when you exchange them. However I agree we should have an indoor tree also.

I'm glad at least someone agrees that it would be good. A luscious green tree, perhaps a little smaller for house use(NOT TOO DAMN SMALL THOUGH!!), with small presents(I haven't seen the crappy placeable object presents for the house yet but I'm guessing they're way too big). The current tree that we can place looks absolutely horrible. Just because people begged for outside seasonal items doesn't mean it's a great idea. They could have done it well, I agree, but they clearly haven't. We all saw what happened when people kept begging for Lightning and Snow's hairstyle. Jesus that was just silly that SE bowed down not once, but twice more.
