Events, Weather and fishing!!??

Please Devs can you clarify this for us die hard fishers??

For a lot of the big fish you are required to fish them during specific weather and at specific times!!!

All the housing areas and cities are currently snow only during the whole Christmas event.

Have you made an exception that you can now catch fish during snow in these regions??

If not can you fix this SE???

Not only big fish but also for the i believe lvl 30 fishing quest, you have to fish in gridania with a weather of rain.


If you can please just let us know if this event snow fall is effecting the fish rates at all or if we just have to find something else to do for the next two weeks

If this IS the case, it'd particularly suck for players who are currently leveling FSH. The level 40 quest requires fishing up five Raincallers, which can only be caught in Gridania, and only when it's raining. Unless Raincallers appear in Snow, as well, they're pretty much stuck until the event ends. :/

You can get raincallers from lvl 43 fishing ventures, with a chance for them to be HQ

Last year, people were able to catch raincallers 24/7 even though it was snowing. No clue if that will apply to big fish but it probably wouldn't hurt to try during their normal hours.

i will have to test tomorrow. Hopefully the devs will bring us an answer to this.

People have been catching weather-restricted fish when it was snowing according to FF14 angler

It seems very possible that they just removed the weather restrictions on these fish during this event.
