Starlight event - question to devs

Makes you wonder what goes through people's heads when they dream up this stuff. Do they sit there and think of ways to make things un-fun and screw you over?

Yes, you got them! This event was entirely designed because they knew you'd go on vacation!

I like the fact that it's daily quests. Actually means the event will last, unlike the others where you're done in half an hour and never touch it again.

You can get the untradable items in a couple of days. If you are not even around for that long, how is that SE's fault?

The rest are mostly housing, so it's something FCs can work on together.

I really don't get why people are mad SE didn't take their personal vacation into account. I missed most of the summer event for the same reason.

I just wish the daily quest wasn't so... Pathetic? It's like a couple minutes of work a day and done. Back to the rest of the game. Bye-bye Christmas. It's great that it can actually last until the new year, but there is just no meat to these dailies at all...

I'd much rather have seen this event split into two; a FATE style currency collection like last year for furniture, and the current daily currency collection for armor/minions/gifts. Would have been awesome if we could trade Gift Bags to the Empty Twinkleboxes/Gift Boxes for a sort of Secret-Santa style event (perhaps have a NPC you can also trade them to to give to a random homeless player through the Mail Mogs as well)... Then I could burn through half the event and actually feel like I spent some time on the event, and do the dailies with an added "Who do I give this to?" aspect at the end of it.
