2 on several weapons, also 4 cause that's how the whole thing is designed so far, also 5 on account of hating these threads.Just to kill some time, I'd like know how you felt about the relic weapon questchains.
1) Done it all until the very end (so far)!
2) Progressing it and want go to the end!
3) Stopped at some point (say which one)
4) Never cared, usind dropped/tomes ones
5) Anything other.
About, me:
3) I stopped at the books stage. I feel them so grindy I really have aborted any willing to go ahead at the point that I dunno if return to it, even if that part will be eased in the future.
So now I go for dropped/tomes weapons and no care relic anymore.
Share your feelings
XD Thanks. I've been dying for a sword and shield that go well with the Armor of Light set. It's the default colour of it and it's undyable, but it does have a nice effect. The sword and shield I dyed Gloom Purple as it's the closest match to the armour colour![]()
From the look of your helm abyssal blue might work better; that's the "adaberk blurple" if you're familiar with ffxi stuff.

The initial relic with titan hm as the road block is a good skill/job check - to bad many got carried and still to this day even with ilvl baggilion fail at it(this is what I do fer every job I hit 50)
Zenith was a bit of a grind at start until they started dropping myth like candy - really non content now-a-days
Atma - 1000 fates for the first non-upgrade - best troll ever - funny got the second one in 200 fates(pre nerf)
Animus - ok kill 1000 mobs, run dungeons(some you like some you don't), leves(hey atleast it helps towards those achievements see SE is thinking of us), FATES - I mostly got lucky but at one point due to bordem waited a whole day on the fates to pop
Novus - this for me was good progression - at worst it would atke you 75 days to get all the alexandrite - couple that with SBing and stuff along the way and you would have everything you needed by that point
Nexus - 2000 light is way too much of a grind - I've gotten my novus before the nexus dropped and have basically been doing normal every day things each day(drex, drtrials, dr high every so often, raids, exs etc...) I haven't even reached 1000 light and I even suffered through 2 1h long light farms - I don't plan on doing that anymore but will be running some other stuff with friends
Zodiac - not bad - get mts, find a 3 star crafter, do some dungeons for rng drops(this can be good or bad) and do it...
3.
I stopped after Animus and am not sure if I will continue. Waiting for rare FATEs to spawn for the books was absolutely horrible.
When I think about what is involved with continuing, I wonder... "Why?" It just doesn't seem worthwhile anymore.
3) 4)
Stopped after I got the ilv90 one, before that Atma Fate grind.
Used a Syrcus Tower drop for an easy 110 weap. If I feel the need there is Shiva for another easy weapon (115)
I already got another UAT from ST ready for my next lv50 job

I've enjoyed every part of the relic quests minus the Atma farming, I just really didn't have any luck, and that's kind of where I'm at currently, I just need the 4 dungeons of the last quest that includes DD. I liked the fact that you had to do Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan to get the relic, and even get into Coil. I hope that SE does this again in the expansion. I mean, people still eat plumes for dinner on the daily. But all in all, it has been an interesting grind, and accomplishment, everyone should be proud of where they are at.
It IS stupidly easy though, that's the whole point of the Relic. Long grind doesn't mean it's difficult, lol.1) Done it all until the very end (so far)!
Sure it's been grindy here and there (okay, a lot) but it's been worth it IMO. I'm glad it's not stupidly easy, or everyone would be running around with it at the max state as soon as they released. You have to put in some effort, but you get a nice reward out of it.
