Sightseeing Log During Starlight Celebration

I found myself without anything else to do earlier, so I decided to take a whack at doing some of the Sightseeing Log. When I tried to do one of the logs in Old Gridania, I realized that the weather is snowing because of the Starlight Celebration. Am I going to have to wait until the end of the Starlight Celebration to finish these? I can't remember from last year, but does the New Year's event have a weather associated with it? I'd hate to have to wait several weeks to get any farther on this.

I never started my sight seeing log at all. never really had the motovation to do it. Dosn't look like the devs ever had the motovation to add to it either since it's got the same stuff as when it started. Maybe when the new areas are added in heavensward.
