Post Your Positivity: Awesome moments were awesome!

So, there's just so much negative junk on the forums as of late. Cash Shop hissing, SSII healer catfights, (I'm assuming Nexus-caused) tank speed run table-flipping, wardrobe complaints, game tweaking demands, 'shiney' hardcore vs 'filthy' casuals, class vs class, relics (.....though I will silently join the grind-complaining *slowly raises hand*), etcetcetc... It seems as though everyone is at each other's throats.

Gaming communities are easily toxic, so why not post something expressly positive about anyone and everyone?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really tired of seeing only complaint threads and not enough positive contribution.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a bunnies and rainbows kind of person, but jeeze. -_-

Soooooo, post your positive experiences, stories or moments or things - from in game/FFXIV - that have made you happy, or (positively =p) amazed, or laugh, or awesome parties or people you've met! Things that have made you proud or happily surprised at yourself for!

You know.... positive things!

Okay, so here goes. I figure that I started this thread - whether it works or falls 46375843657483 pages into oblivion - so I might as well start the ball.


So, I was all proud of myself when I took my bard into Titan HM (my nemesis =_=) and pretty much dodged every aoe (for once... since I seem to suffer from positional lag) xD I'm usually eating every other WotE when I go on WHM >__<.
Downside is that the rest of the party died or was pushed off till it was just a dragoon and I poking around at Titan with just a tidbit of HP left... we clung to hope but er, yeah. My little myth-geared bardy ass and a DRG weren't going to take on Titan alone xD;;

We wiped, but it gave me confidence that it's not that I -can't- do Titan HM (WHMing) but I guess just a difference in circumstances or luck? Unfortunately I think I ended up with fight fatigue from concentrating o_O since I couldn't do as well in dodging, after that... but still! *pats self on head*

Also, watching a large tank and a lalafell DRG just turn and jump off the cliff consecutively to ditch a determined wipe - from something of a floor level view (:x I died in a different wipe) - is a hilarious thing to see. xD

And last story -
Did Labyrinth for the first time on my bard character (done it a lot on WHM) - one of our alliance's tanks, a WAR, had 10k-ish HP.
I have to say, they were badass for a good few bits of the raid.
-Behemoth fight: They took dem behemoth falling comets like pebbles (and killed everyone else not behind a rock)
-Acheron fight: While everyone was waiting on the platforms behind the shielding with Flare about to go off... they were the last one out, and got on the other side of the barrier JUST in time... but from where I stood it was a, "cool guys don't look at explosions" moment xD

Here goes:

I was recently promoted to Brigadier General (3rd rank) in the best FC on Lamia! I love this FC, it's like having a second family and we all try to be helpful and supportive of each other. It really is a fantastic group of people, we also recently gained a few new members (someone even rejoined) so it's great to see us thriving. We're currently working on a gathering super team which I hope to be a part of once I reach 50 with my miner and possibly botanist. Also our fearless leader is an awesome 4-star crafter and a master crafter in all classes so that's awesome. Not to mention we have two houses, one FC house and another that's basically a night club for the members. We have our own website as well, it really is an awesome FC and I'm proud to be a member.

Dayum o.o With that second FC house, you guys could probably buy the extra 'personal rooms' and turn them into a mini town. xD The dance club, the restaurant (with those new meal plates that can be crafted and eaten by any. Going on a raid? Catch a lunch at the restaurant, first! lol), sauna room, bar.... *_*

Haha, well the second one is technically a personal house but that would be pretty awesome, we do have a lot of fun with it though!

Running around on my alt on Jenova as a level 19 gld with level 15 gear on still, a level 50 dude stopped me and traded me some HQ gear to wear instead. I thought it was really nice of them. ^_^

I recently came back to the game. My FC got me caught up to them in Second Coil in a night and the following weekend got myself up to i109 Blm/Smn. Been leveling Ninja, which I am liking quite a bit. My FC isn't hardcore maybe slightly more than casual, but when I was on the game before I had a hell of a time getting a set schedule going. Since I left and my friend has had the FC they set up a couple night, but we got past a bunch of primals that people have been putting off doing.

I have to say its awesome to see you around forums, since you designed the mini-party of your own characters just like I did. With unique personalities and just a few specialized jobs on each.

Solotanking t5 felt pretty awesome once I got a win with my friends, although extra scary since my controller was dying during twisters. Someone actually thought I was cool (my tank is a lala) then they realized they already know me and were like how could you xD

Soloing the boss in SV HM as a puny paladin in str gear with most of its HP still left. Had a few close calls but I killed it.

Beating t8 with a duty finder group with no deaths in the run I was a heal xD

Scholar becoming my main class over others was a cool moment, since I found a healer that suits my style and it comes with a fairy too. Really didn't expect to like it the first time I donned on the job outfit for it.

Grats on the coils! xD I'm a little chicken to drop into T5 - mainly fear of not doing well enough and then people flipping tables at me x_x

Nice to see another doing the same (with creating diff characters)! xD


Ramblings of doom (ignore if boring, rofl):
My characters have their own personalities, but I only really drop in and out of their character around friends/FC that understand whats up - and if I'm just not being serious about something/messing around. We're really not an RP FC (though I have RPed in the past and in other mediums) and I'm moreso out-of-character than in-character... though, even then, I usually drop out of character once I'm in a pugged/DF party - so if in a party that isn't comprised of just my FC, I'm more or less just me.... But I also think some of their traits are just magnified pieces of myself (and some not), anyway.
I think the only thing that remains, character-wise, when I enter a DFed party is the type of greeting.... and that's it. No real particular reason.

Keeping it brief....
Saseal (my main) is like the serious, kind of prudent big brother type - kind of diplomatic and protective, but does have a twinge of impishness when feeling playful around friends/FC.... I tend to enter dungeons with "Heyos", when on him

Taiga being Saseal's little brother, who is very much the skiddish, easily frightened kitten-y kind of Miquo'te.... and stutters. But I get lazy with typing the stuttering that I sorta omit it >_>. I usually do "Hello!" or "Hellos" in DF parties.

Zhyneel is a little bit of an opinionated, tempermental imp with a bit of a height complex. Depending on who the rest of my party is, I'll either say "Please don't step on me!/Nobody step on me!" if it's tall peeps (....born from a time when I entered a hest with three Roe and my wee little Lala) or just a general "hello" if I'm feeling uncreative...

Fenrir is a bit of the happy-go-lucky, friendly 'fella' who tries hard (maybe too hard, but I think that's more my own personal flaw) to do what he can. I usually enter with "Hello, hello!", when on him (much like one of the male hyur retainer greeting types)

Haha my lala Gaku Po (I didnt even realise there was kupo hidden in that name) has a height complex too, my provoke macro says 'Pick on someone your own size!' even if the enemy is like a thousand times bigger. I always find myself climbing on taller things in the environment, same urge I get as a dragoon since dragoons have to precariously balance on everything.

My dragoon Raiden just went and created his own backstory. Made it clear that only color he'll wear is pink, to match his pink tail and hair, started worshiping a 'plant primal' which at first was just a small plant in uldah goblet in a pot, then as FC switched locations to gridania the plant primal was now that giant tree and we decided that the small plant just used its primal powers and overtook goblet, changing it overnight.

On another awesome note relogging into a server after you've been gone a day or a week to all the greetings from FC friends is a great thing to see.
