    Now I haven't read everything (57 pages >.>) but to the people against the new raises I'd like to bring up the point of recast timers. For all we know they could put the Raise III recast at like 5 mins (example). Having such a long recast would give people a reason to just return and walk back because at that rate only one person's getting a raise and I would bet in most cases it would be the tank if they were a choice. At that point everyone else can suck it up and walk.

    I kind of agree with making people who die in stupid ways walk but sometimes you may have to swallow your pride and give them that raise anyway for the sake of the mission if say you're low on time.

    reaching 50 takes long enough as it is being punished for dying by taking away XP/SP is rather mean

    Punishing people for dying is one of the stupidest mechanics around. You lose exp when dying. So what, you forget what you experience when dying? It's a stupid system, it always was. They should have to suffer because some random monster wanders by while they're fishing?

    Clawfury actually had a pretty good idea on my Death Penalty thread:


    Make it so while you are Weakened, you cannot gain SP/XP.

    While the idea has some merit, I don't think it would be anymore effective than the current penalty. Most groups I've been in usually wipe together, and thus wait for the debuff to wear off before continuing.

    Well, then they aren't zombie attacking and are wasting their time by wiping. Nothing's more valuable in an MMO than time, so seems like a relatively decent deterrent to me.

    Option 2 for me.
    Right now there is 0 consequences for dying. People can do leves at really low levels, die and while other people are fighting mobs, they can just lay there and gain exp.

    My suggestions:
    1. If you die, you get 0 xp/sp while staying dead. This would force people to either run back to battle, and/or have certain members in your group to raise/resurrect people in the group.
    2. One of either:
    a) XP/SP loss upon death.
    b) Gear durability loss. Something between 10% to 20%. Maybe 10% when you die while unweakened, and then bump it to 15% if die while you have level 1 weakness, and bumped to 20% or 25% if you die while you have level 2 weakness.
    3. Longer weakness timer.

    No one can argue against the fact that in terms of consequences after dieing, there is none right now. Time sink for weakness to wear off is NOT a real consequence. Every single MMO i've played has a weakness timer.
