Hmmm... seems like this is probably against TOS though, now that I look at it more thoroughly. Would be nice to have something like this coded into the game though for those who have/like to play alts.

This is the equivolent of changing the ffxiv.config file so ps4 controllers work natively on pcs. SE cannot legally deploy functioning DirectX control schemes due to licencing, however as the end user you may map any button to send any command input you want. (This is not the same as setting up a program that sends command inputs on its own ie bots.)

This does edge twards dangerous territory as you stated though, example of disabling the unskipable cs when logging a new character in the first time is a tos violation.

If I can find it I will post, the reason why both these qol functions are not already there, is they would exceed Sony's memory block size restrictions per game quickly, which they already have a special agreement to exceed to an extent. (Note this is an issue with Sony corporate policy limitations, not the equipment itself.)
