    Healer Accuracy

SE can u pls lower the acc cap for healer? Making us meet the acc cap for caster is pretty dumb. It sucks that i have to use emerald accessories over my dreadwyrm drops if i want to dps on my sch.

PPl r going to say well 3 of your DoTs never miss. Or meld acc on your relic. Thats besides the point. Ruin, Ruin II, Miasma, Miasma II, Aero, Aero II, Stone, Stone II all can miss. And if healers want to dps effectively we have to lower our primary stat MND in favor of meldable gear. And even with a full accuracy spec'ed relic u still fall under the cap.

Will lowering the acc cap for healer really be that game chaning? Will they now have to factor healer dps in to a Boss' HP pool cause of this? As of right now healer dps is just icing in on the cake. Too bad im getting the icing all over the place on not on the actual cake. (My attempt at a lack of accuracy joke)

What i find humorous is missing when attacking Mystery map enemies with my whm. Seriously, i'm missing a lvl 50 non-coil mob with i110 gear? Baffling.

Food for thought - do you think that S-E might've designed it like this so healers that want to DPS need to make the trade off in gear (lower ilvl crafted gear melded with accuracy) to get a better rate of accuracy for Coil mobs?

Yet looking at the post above your where they mention missing doing their alex maps at max level in full raid or tomes gear is proof the addition of acc to healers has been half thought out and not even properly maintained.

How many other jobs deal with acc issues in the open world while soloing? The point is acc is an end game stat, no one cares about acc cap until you are raiding and the fact you can be over geared for content and suffer acc problems because you are a healer is wrong. Our gear has +4 acc where others have +29 and somehow we are expected to have the same amount of acc in order to do some DPS solo. If they want healers to have acc and be at the same level as other mage classes they need to give us the same amount of acc on our gear plain and simple. If they don't really want us to worry about acc and its just an extra stat for the sake of having one then healer spells should include a hidden 90% acc boost so when you have 1/10th of the acc as your counterparts you are at the same rate of hit / miss.

It wasn't by accident that they gave us minimal acc. There's been a growing trend that it's mandatory for the sch to dps all of the time. While it's certainly helpful in the most stringent of dps checks, people tend to forget that they're a healer first and foremost. They shouldn't have to do the dd's job for them.
Frankly, i want a partner that is going to heal and work together with me when i'm in top tier fcob, not an extra dps while i do the majority of the work. In my opinion, this is SE's way of addressing that. Melding acc materia to hq crafted gear is a viable option. You'll have to sacrifice some healing orientated stats, but that's the price you have to pay.

The discussion mostly lends itself to SCHs since they have the room to DPS in end-game (and is expected with the current DPS checks), but it would have been nice if the new gear at least had more ACC on it. As it currently stands, going from i110 to i130 armor gives +5 ACC, when the caster ACC requirement difference between the last turns of Second and Final Coil is 45.

In terms of end-game application, capped ACC requirement for casters on the last turn is 515. A full BiS 130 healing set nets you 412. To make up that difference you're stuck melding multiple crafted pieces of gear, more if you don't have an ACC spec'd zodiac, and then using ACC food on top of that.

Bare minimum for melds would be acc on crafted headpiece (+25), one accessory (+16), a zodiac (+43), and using acc food. That will cap you assuming you have an 120/130 body/legs to make up the 2-3 acc you'd be short otherwise from a typical i110 healing set. And that's ignoring melding VIT on accessories as well since you really want a good HP buffer for that last fight.
