Crafting materials in dungeons and the "need" option

What OP want is that mats drop in dungeons get the same rule like gears drop in dungeon.
As an example Saurian Skin is needed by Leatherworker. If now Saurian Skin drop in the dungeon and you are not as a Leatherworker in the dungeon, then you should only can roll greed on it.

You need it to craft items to sell them to get gils.

How do you want to know what exactly I do with these crafting materials? Last time I checked, we didn't know each other and I never mentioned that I'm crafting for profit (which I don't).
You assume much for knowing little.

I'd imagine hitting a mob with a frying pan would do more damage than hitting it with a leather bound book.
