troll post is trolling
and what would you suggest as an alternative?
removing them from the dungeon and....?
find them where.
when.
how.
this is not a bug, there is nothing wrong in this content of the game.
you just have to put time in it.
just as you put time in bringing all your crafters to 50 and/or at 4 star craft.
it's not like "ah, I have gained access to 4 star crafts, now I can be lazy and must have everything without effort".
you didn't win the roll? sucks. but who cares. you can just make money with your crafters, go buy materials on the MB/Ixali/Auriana/whatever
and buy them.
your logic of "I have all the crafters at 50 so I should have all the crafting drops" is silly.
go farm dungeons, if you need the crafting material.
you farm dungeons--->you obtain your crafting materials---->you obtain nexus lights.
win/win situation.
embrace the mantra "another useless post in the forum, is a loot lost in a dungeon"

What OP want is that mats drop in dungeons get the same rule like gears drop in dungeon.
As an example Saurian Skin is needed by Leatherworker. If now Saurian Skin drop in the dungeon and you are not as a Leatherworker in the dungeon, then you should only can roll greed on it.

How do you want to know what exactly I do with these crafting materials? Last time I checked, we didn't know each other and I never mentioned that I'm crafting for profit (which I don't).
You assume much for knowing little.
That is not what I wrote. Read it again, this time with your brain turned on.
Materials are not binding. Even if I cannot use the material, I can trade it for material I can use via the market board.
Kind of agree with OranKells though, I think we are getting trolled.
When I first saw dungeon drops, I hit greed, because I thought it seemed like it would be a greed roll for everyone. But I saw everyone was hitting Need. Then I found out everyone just hit need on those items.
Then I thought on it. The problem with your suggestion, is all I have to do to say I NEED it, is unlock the crafting class then sit at level 1. Though is there some dungeon item that's extremely pricey, because every crafting item I've rolled for has been cheap on the market.
It's not fair to restrict the items that way. So crafters need the item to craft - why do they need to craft? To make some Gil right? So when someone says I need that for crafting they are basically saying I need that for gil. Everyone needs gil. If I sell the item, a crafter buys it and sells the crafted item for a profit (otherwise they should just sell the raw mats instead). Do you see how it's greedy to want 100% of the profit?
It doesn't make sense anyway since why shouldn't an adventurer be able to gather treasure / materials to sell? The difference with locked gear is that it's untradeable - making crafting mats untradeable would force crafters to farm dungeons which they may not like, and would make the final crafted products much more expensive (less crafters would have access to mats so the supply would be very low in comparison to demand)!
Why care when 99% of crafting mats are worth 10gil on the mb anyway. It's a complete joke and a waste of a loot spot tbh
