Relic Quest is pure Crap, i am done with it SE.

I used to play FFXI and i like their system, while there was some RNG in the early part and heavy grind at the end, there was some uniqe aspects at some parts, like lets say farming certain items where u need to get pops and kill huge NMs with he help if your guild or friends. some o fthem were really hard with challanging mechanics!

but here in FFXIV and only part that i saw was challanging fun (during 2.0 at least), was doing the primal fights. after that is a pure crap and the only reason i did it was to see if it would get better at some point.

atma & fates : nice idea to make low level zones more popular again, but only worked for 2 weeks when most people done theirs including mine.
books: you need more players into those dungens ?
animus: this was ok, but too easy i soloed most of the treasure maps, they could have made it a little challanging, i dont mind the materia thingy even if it helps gill seller's business model.
novus light: so you think nobody cares about hm dungens ? i still don't, i did mostly garuda and turn4, even gentles sometimes.
zodiac: here i stop, i am not doing AV 20 times , sorry.

SE, unless i see somethign remotly challanging in the relic quest, i will not do it again. my PLD nexus was finished a few days before shiva's weapons were upgraded to the same level. its clear we dont need relics anymoe, and its pure crap to do them. ilevel 125, and its only +1 dmg over the wep u get by beating t11. i am done with this. i beat t10 in 3 raid attempts without even having a raid grp for final coil and i heard t11 isn't much harder there is no dps check either. so easier to get tome weapon rather than do lvl 2 fates for 6 months.

I feel the same way with a lot of these relic quests. Like another poster put also these things are time consuming, also you have to choose between coil or doing these since they take up so much time. Now there's plenty of people with lots of time on their hands who have both i'm sure. These relic quests are only good for people like me because I can jump on and start instantly on it. Other things I would have to put party finder up, wait for people or wait for DF to come up. If I had the time I would of done things differently, not done relic and would of just pushed to progress in coil, obtained the items there and call it a day. Now i'm so invested in it, that only way I will stop doing it when I stop paying for the game..which depending on 3.0 & a few other things might be sooner than I thought.

That axe looks cool, but yeah also sometimes people just..have a lot of free time. I got about 2 / 3 hours maybe every other night between work, doing things. Then I know people who take days off or can spend a whole weekend just sitting on the game or computer. I unfortunately don't have a lifestyle that lets me do that. But that's wonderful you were able to push on through.

The i125 Zodiacs aren't the end of the relic quests, it will finish with them being i135 on-par with Dreadwyrm except with chosen stats from Novus.

We all know its gona be upgradable to 135 to match turn13 weapon , thats not my point.

The question is, will SE change their approuch of focusing on low level fates/dungens/instances to keep new players happy? What about us who been playing since beta?

I want to see a change with SE mantalaty, we need to see some content for the relic quest like we had for FFXI, uniqe bosses and things to grind that are spesific to the actual relic quest, not rehashed content over and over.

or maybe, i have been playing for too long ? i have been since 2.0 , maybe its time to retire i think lol... i refuse to do aurom vale, i have done it over 200 times already helping out my friends or just to lvl yet another job. its enuf! lol

Looks like you're just to elite for this game, I would quit if you don't like it so much. You know you don't have to do the relic quest?

The relic path is an option. There are other ways to get weapons in the game.
