NicoNico payment error?

I'm using my Visa (Verified by Visa) card to pay for the NicoNico livestream, and I'm getting an error. The steps I took: http://i.imgur.com/EO62Kzy.gif

[EDIT] Spoke to Visa, as well as Verified by Visa dept and there are no issues on their end. Told me to contact vendor.

[EDIT 2] Paid for a game on Steam, worked fine

[EDIT 3] Tried a MasterCard, same error. Ignoring MasterCard now, focusing on Visa

[EDIT 7] Spoke with my bank again, they gave me a new number to contact with help on Verified by Visa. Contacted that, was told it was being approved then an error once it goes to the merchant. Told me to contact niconico, and to perhaps "call niconico and have them manually process the card over the phone"


Others with same issue:

Spent 45min on the phone with my bank, they made all the exceptions to allow the payment and still not able to buy nico points ...

I tried to pay with Visas from two different banks (one not my own). I couldn't complete the transaction with either. I was extremely confident that I could just call my bank up and solve things... I got tossed from person to person until I was finally told that Verified by Visa was fine, nothing was blocked, and that the issue was totally on the merchant's end. I've considered upgrading my NicoNico account to the paid membership to see if that would change anything, but I highly doubt it.

Might try buying WebMoney vouchers if I'm feeling desperate. If only Japan would stop thinking it's too good for PayPal. <_<

Cross posting from Reddit. I was able to purchase points but I had to have someone with access to online credit card transactions on the phone to change the security settings on my card as well as monitor the transaction. Even with a successful transaction, the error message appeared for a few seconds.

Also I did see the "Verified by Visa" window during my transactions but I did not have to enter a password. I believe results will vary by credit card issuer and the generic information Visa provides may not be accurate. The software of the credit card issuer must be able to work with that of Nico Nico.

PS - Contacted credit card issuer about Mastercard Securecode. They had no idea what that was.
