    Learning in duty finder.

I don't mind teaching people dungeons but I'd rather it be my choice. Lately, I have been forced to teach people content in DF, which not only increases the time spent on the duty but reduces the chance for success.

Yesterday, after failing my 30th attempt at teaching t6 to people in DF, I protested. The next group was 1/3 new. They said that DF is for learning. Which would mean anyone that doesn't go to learn goes to DF to teach. I protested. I refused to leave or run until they agreed to run a learning party in PF. My argument was that there are lots of people that need to learn and they need a LP as well.

I feel cheated and it's unfair that I have to fail duties over and over. Am I wrong to be frustrated?

You feel cheated because you decided to use the DF with a bunch of randoms that are learning. One would think after a few fails that there could be a better way, after 30, something seems a miss on your end. Maybe you should try the PF, then you can set your own terms like I see everyday on the PF.

Your problem lies in the server. Jp servers do the opposite of na/eu servers and have a higher df success rate. On jp, pf is practice and df is clear, the exact opposite what we do.

I use pf learning and farming. If I can't find anyone I use DF. I don't feel cheated. I want to help. You see, there is a paradox. We have people that try to oneshot and the leave after a few fails. We also have people that come to practice. Both types queue together and cannot make any ground. The learners can't get the practice they need and oneshotters never get that clear.

There needs to be an ettiquettwo established. The terns of duty finder need to be established.

if they are new, tell em to focus on how mechanics/bosses work, while doing essentials(not every button is needed in this case), macro oh crap moments and tell em to follow the nearest player who does know how it all works, learning parties/df/pugs should also be considered survival tests, whether you want to weed out bads is up to you

You can cry if you want but in the end you can just as easily do what you are demanding they do. Get a group of people who have cleared it and go do it. DF is always going to be a random free for all where you may or may not get an experienced group. What annoys me is when people can't even be bothered to watch a video guide and come in expecting somebody to spend 10 minutes giving them a complete run down. New people in itself is not a bad thing it's when people can't learn or can't be bothered to help themselves that they become dead weight.

You honestly should not expect anything in DF, it is 100% random in who it matches you with. I have seen pretty good success with t6/t7 in DF. Occasionally you get a guy that is incredibly terrible and ruins the run. Just leave the group and move on. Most of the time people can learn and get it done. If you want all experienced players make your own pf. PF is where you make your own conditions for a group.

Though it does blow my mind that some people who have cleared T5 actually think they can walk into SCoB 100% blind and clear it.

some folks cant learn from a video because it may go differently no matter how much you want it to, only statics do step by step, like earlier i did darkhold twice(drg) first run was great(minus twin crystals in front of skeles and drakes), second run it was all over the place, from a bit of lag to invincible adds at the boss getting me twice(badly timed Lb), there's this thing called a player, the mindset going in, the mentality changes after a boss wipe, its all different, and unless you remember every weapon and armor all classes have(examined or not) you cant see the performance til after the fact

and maybe those who dont watch think they can do what all firsttimers did: play, learn, survive. just because a video is out doesnt mean you need to study it thoroughly like a final exam, its only there for views and androids(people who are bordering on a robotic existence in game)

The only rules of the Duty Finder are party composition and item level. The devs have stated multiple times that the Party Finder is your go-to tool for imposing any additional restrictions on your group.

While I don't always enjoy getting grouped with people that lack experience, gear, or skill, I accept that these scenarios exist when using the Duty Finder.
