The bennus in general were very well thought out. Very hard turn at release that is gradually eased up via DPS afterwards. Pushing 4 Bennus makes the fight much easier. You should blow LB during the first 2 phases if it allows you to push with 4 Bennu.

Once FCOB is PUGable the echo will allow groups to push 3 Bennu once again making the fight easier.

If we consider the required iLvls of 90, 95, 100, and then 105 for DFing the Second Coil, I think it might be safe to assume that the Final Coil is tuned for the non-World Firsters to clear each of these turns at 110, 115, 120, and then 125 respectively. The classic "use the gear from previous bosses to clear the next boss" mentality is still going strong!

I got the neck and ears made and ALMOST melded (still have my last Det IIIs to put in). Cost me about 1.6 million, I'll finish up the last materias then start saving gil again. Probably buy i90s every time I get up to 2 mil, or if it takes me a long time I'll just save up for i110s which I'm sure will be insanely expensive when the patch hits.

Didn't get to mess around too much in T12 last night due to a late start and a short night.

I'm finally buckling down and experimenting with these Accessories to see just how much it'll make my own healers cry. I'm going Topaz because I'm that Tank, and I'd wager that they're perfectly usable when not fully melded as long as both VIT and STR are maxed and it won't otherwise put you below the Accuracy Cap.

When giving them to my group's top crafter for melding, he succeeded on 5 29% melds in a row. The odds say this has a 0.02% chance of happening :|

That's a fallacy. It had a 29% chance of success each time, the attempts are not linked : D /offtopic

    Also - bleh parry gross!!!

First, I made a whoops. It's actually 0.2%. I was a tenth off. Second, it is true that each attempt had a 29% chance of success. However, the chance of 5 instances to succeed consecutively at that 29% chance is 0.2%. The melding action can be subject to the rules of a binomial distribution because the only two outcomes are success and failure.

Regarding the Parry: At full Parry, adding 90 STR to myself will increase my DPS by about 25%. Completely respeccing from Parry to Crit/Det without that STR will increase my DPS by about 5%. At least, that's what my limited testing has told me. Thus, the STR alone should increase my damage enough to cover any need such damage would satisfy. Plus, the Parry makes up for at least a little bit of the VIT loss in most fights. And hey, what can I say? I enjoy my supposed 50%+ Physical Mitigation rate.

Umm.. Where are you getting 90 Strength? Are you also talking about moving the Bonus Vitality points to Strength?

If so, what kind of HP pool are you looking at? Because that sounds like... it would be quite low. just curious of what your numbers look like. =)

Adding 90 STR can be accomplished either by equipping 5 i110 STR accessories or by pentamelding i90 accessories and putting bonus points in to Strength. It had me, on a dummy, doing 210-215 DPS in Shield Oath and 315-320 DPS in Sword Oath. It was an increase of about 24% over my full VIT/Parry DPS. Strangely enough, the numbers were only about 10-15 DPS lower with just 60 STR added, for an overall increase of about 20%. I'd expect there to be a larger difference, so I probably did something wrong in the test ^.^

Full i110 Accessories puts me at about 6700-6800 HP outside of a party. Full melded i90 would probably leave me at about 7800. Full STR + attribute points(a 120 STR jump!) dumps me to about 6400 health. I only did this while grinding my Nexus, as nobody needs the HP while tanking HM Primals and I was doing so much damage in Sword Oath if I was off-tanking that I was taking hate off of VIT tanks. It was hilarious.

If I were ever to stack STR in a raid situation, it would be just the accessories while keeping bonus stats in VIT.
