Of what a fully vit spec'd i117 WAR (Shiva X Axe i115) should be doing in T12?

I've been between 140-160 on our runs that we make it to at least P4. Is that total garbage? I feel like its total garbage... 444 STR, using Path before I leave for Bennus and before Rev, other than that I have been Eye>Block

Those of you with clears did you find you had to weight to STR to help your group get 4 bennus, etc? What would a solid DPS # be for a WAR that's Vit spec'd? What did you guys find that you had to get to to help your group?

I'm no expert at all(WAR level 35), but I'm fairly certain that a VIT specced WAR should be able to hit or even break 200-220. A Pally in the same situation should be able to hit 160-170, I'd think. Remember to switch out of Defiance if you're tanking nothing and that the use of Unchained and Berserk will allow you to go into Defiance for a time and get access to your strongest attacks without a damage penalty even while not actively tanking.

Last nights Clear our WAR did 235. I did 183 on PLD. He uses Ruby Accessories, 30/30 STR. I use Topaz 30/30 STR. We are both i115 ish. (zero left side tank drops in 6 weeks....)

Pushing 4 Bennus really makes that fight easier, so tanks have to contribute as much as possible with DPS for your first couple clears. i90 Accessories and stance dancing is really important.

Revelation is not that dangerous just get IB and another CD up.

Thank you - yeah I have been dropping defiance as much as possible but the way we do the fight (I won't bore you with it) I am MTing Pheonix most of the time from P1 to adds. Pally just takes Revs and holds it while I have a Bennu. I could do a better job stance dancing in P4, admittedly, as we are semi-new to it. I feel like I am maxing my DPS when I'm tanking, Unchain/zerk/internal release on CD with good infuratiate management, I even use Veng+Thrill to take a Rev so that I can have an UnC/Zerk/IR with 2 IBs in it early in the fight.

I'm i117 right now, I'll be able to get another left side body piece from poet this week assuming accur works out. My healers, though, have been ASKING me to stay in full vit. I have 11,500 hp right now. I think I might go spend my 2mil gil I'm sitting on and meld out the accessories that I have that are i110 (ear, neck). I have Dread ring, inronworks ring, shiva bracer otherwise. If i re-spec to STR that will get me to approx 500 STR, up from 444, BUT that would ding me probably something like 750hp in defiance, bringing me to around 10,750.

The way I see it, its ridiculously worth it if I can improve DPS by 50 to get us to a point where we see 4 Bennus. That would be a game changer I believe.

Do you think I should go for full i90, even replacing my i130 and i120 accessories?

Also, how are you i115 with all i90 on your right?

And you don't need to be in defiance while not tanking anything. There are 20-40 chunks between Bennus and minute long chunks of time during the final phase to drop definance or put up sword oath. Our healers handle purgatory, tanks and DPS handle fountains. We do OT3,MT3,DPS2 then DPS2,OT3,MT3 with Phoenix right near the fountain so DPS never stops.

If you're dropping from 11,500 -> 10,750, you'd need to plummet to 750 health from Revelation + AA/Bennus for your healers to notice at all.

i90 crafted > i110/i120/i130 STR, especially for WAR in FCoB, but it is quite a large gil investment. I'd recommend holding out on that until 2.5 if you're just going to replace 1-2 pieces since i110 crafted should be out by then.

T12 requires you to be in Defiance for most of the fight, so it's hard to really max your DPS outside of what you're already doing. You can drop Defiance after an IB on a Bennu as long as it's going to die soon and that should give you a bit of extra DPS. You can also cheese your DPS a tiny bit by using Vengeance while all your Bennus are hitting you, but that's not really going to make a difference. Sounds like you're already maximizing your offensive buffs so not much I can recommend there. If your group is already pushing 4 Bennus then I wouldn't worry about it, but if not you should try to up your STR in the way you posted.

Yeah... we're not pushing Bennus, and we are at that point where we are making it to the last phase and hitting soft enrage @ 20%. Not all due to dps, some deaths and stuff, but if we were on 4 Bennus it would allow us to calm the chaos and be smarter about everything.

I have 2 mil gil that I'm never ever going to spend right now...I'm wondering if I can get the ears/neck penta melded the cheap way with that... I don't mind spending the gil at all, and I think I can probably get everything crafted for mat cost.

Yeah I tank Pheonix a lot. Right after Bennu 1 dies I tank it until about 15 seconds before Bennu 3 spawns, then I have about 10 seconds to DPS before I take her back for the MT's Bennu. We typically push to Add phase about 10 seconds after I get done with Bennu 5. So I'd say I have 2 10 second intervals to go full DPS in 1-3

P4 we go OT3 - WHM2 - BLM1 - SCH2 || OT3 - DRG2 - NIN1 - BRD2. So I am in Fount for the first 3 stacks, swap on flames, then I am tanking again until Rev>Flames. We have tanks handling Brand.

T12 is actually a really well-designed fight in that a lot of different groups have come up with different ways to do everything.
