Not complaining, just wondering. I thought they made each wedding invite only/instanced dungeon style
maybe im wrong. Also, is it every day at 4am new slots are open or every friday? PST or EST?

Yep If you want to be one of the 60 couples per week better pay more money. The reset for registration is every Friday now.
Well that sorta only matters if you want to get married anytime soonish. Otherwise you can wait it out till the system has been out for a little then there should be a lot more slots opened with more convenient dates. ^-^;
This is such an unacceptable answer that I'm shocked people get behind. The way this set up is any platinum couple at this point or from months from now even can just waltz up to the front of the line, thus making any gold's standard or even missed dates. Get shoved behind. Oh and not to mention what happens if your date comes and emergency maintenance. You get thrown into the No show list and are behind standard plan. Even if you payed the 20$. Wonder if people would say just wait if Shiva ex was like this when first released
I don't think it's instanced based, whenever I went into the chapel I usually saw other brides and grooms. I could be completely wrong as I honestly haven't been to a wedding or anything yet.
Maybe the letters will make it instanced. :x
Edit: As for the time, the time is converted into your time frame when you talk to the NPC. So if it says Friday at 7AM for example then it will open at 7 AM your time. No reason to convert it or anything unless you're going based off the site.
Keep in mind that it will always be 2 weeks after the Friday you're setting it on! ( Example: If you set it up on the 12th then you'll only have the 20th ~ 26th slots open to you for planning. )

I think the ceremony is actually done by a real SE employee. When FFXI did this, they had someone run it under a normal character. If you or your wedding party didn't take the ceremony seriously, they'd leave. If they're still using a real person, that explains part of the cash shop...as we're actually helping fund this extra service.
Yeah, that's how weddings were in FFXI. A real GM would conduct the ceremony so they had to be scheduled.I think the ceremony is actually done by a real SE employee. I made a similar thread basically asking the same things. It's really stupid imo. It should be instanced like the DF.
