So, how is my original server doing?

I started playing around April, 2014. I transfered to my current server Ultros around level 13 (or 16) to play with real life friends who have stopped playing. Since then I have made a lot of friends, and I'm extremely comfortable with my server, EXCEPT endgame. Pugging is the worst here and many are either on FCoB, stuck on T5, or don't raid. I'm wondering can anyone give me a breakdown of this server? (Market, hunts, skill, etc).

I share a similar story except I have no desire to leave this server. However I also started in April 2014, moved to this server from my previous to play with friends, and so far I enjoy it a lot.

I do see a lot of PF's up for learning ST's, not so much Final Coils. Hunts wise we are very active, a buddy who helps me run my very small FC started his own linkshell for hunts and we've had a lot of success spawning S-Ranks when the window opens. If you do come here find your way into Kirim K Ultra hunts, Okami Elite hunts and Lanna Hunts, those imo are 3 of the top hunt ls's out there.

What I would refer to as our third generation FC raiders are about to down t5, I help out running it with them frequently, and I'm excited for them to have that achievement and to have some more company in SCoB. But as for PUGing, T6 and 7 are pretty much always a clear in DF for me; I went through with my WHM and farmed via DF. Turn 8 is what I was working on and it seemed that either people would mess up ballistics (most of the time) or we'd reach a point where AF was up along with mines causing a wipe, and someone would ragequit. I do see learning as well as clear parties in PF, but other than one learning one that I had started (and enjoyed the group) I've never been a part of one. There are also learning LSs, one of which is coil focused and I'm particularly fond of for player attitudes. I am able to invite.

Hmm, damn seems it's behind when it comes to endgame, BUT, that's good for players who are not on FCoB like myself. High end servers are a double edged sword. Sure there are many raiders however the chance of one to enter that realm is difficult. I finally decided to put my own static together and at 4 members. I'll see how it goes. I might still transfer back but now it's less likely. It would REALLY suck to start over not knowing anyone (already going to 6 weddings lol). Brynhildr sounds like it needs better players to help push the server and being part of that is.....inticing. I'll see. If my static is successful it's HIGHLY unlikely I'll leave Ultros unless my team switches.

We don't need better players, we need fewer players that think they're better. My FC is a newbie-oriented FC and I'm working on T8 casually and usually solo when I'm not helping out with lowbie stuff. We do have FCs that started clearing FCoB on day one. I don't think you've actually heard from our heavy raiders, and the link above is only sample-size since few players use these forums. However we're certainly not a "high-end" server if your focus is raiding and only raiding. More like a nice quaint community with varied interests and the odd crazy old lady at the local Mor Dhona raging about the end of the world (Brynhildr) every time a new big game title comes out, as well as our top secret mafia that works to control the MB in order to line their own pockets; whom we all pay a homage to lest we find ourselves sleeping with the fishes, in which case my retainer would probably find you.

Home is where your friends are, not where you started so I'd suggest sticking with your current server, and I may just join you since I myself was only invited to two weddings... Best of luck with the static!
