Ragnarok being an axe instead of a sword isn't nearly as bad as
this:
becoming this:

FFXIII Ragnarok is a creature, not a weapon either. The original Ragnarök isn't even a weapon, it's an event, so I don't know why people complain that it's a certain weapon's name lol. SE uses mythology names for items because they sound cool, and many FFs have the same names used on different items/places, it's not entitled to be a certain thing on every other FF.

What hurt me the most was the Longinus...... Longinus has always been a harpoon like spear (by that I mean very long and thin except for a few that had fancy decorations)
I don't know why they made it look so evil/tentacle 18+ like but honestly I'm rather disappointed... Dragoons are holy knights not some evil dudes >_>
Yes they do what they want, like that imdugud in T10 that is supposed to be a bird of thunder ( Zu ) but, hey it's a thundercat !FFXIII Ragnarok is a creature, not a weapon either. Why do people keep bringing up airships and such to justify it not being a sword? In every single Final Fantasy in which it was a weapon, Ragnarok was a sword of some sort.
And it's a huge sword and an axe in FFXIV, I'm sure you can live with that.
Does people seriously have nothing better to do than crying about names of the items?
