DRG: Why no reduced fall damage?

Not the most important thing ever, but ninja has reduced fall damage.

Dragoon is known for making enormous vertical leaps and falling back down without hurting themselves.

It follows that dragoon should take less damage from falls than other classes, like ninja does.

Nice thought, but it wouldn't really work. Mainly because ninja are used to be jumping at heights like that but dragoons depend on the spear to land with for jumps.

Ha ha ha, this has been bugging me as well for similar reasons. I get why ninja has it, but dragoons have made a career out of making huge jumps and landing with little ill effect. It follows that we shouldn't take a ton of fall damage. The whole landing on the polearm is bunk, by that logic our arms should break off because either way there is impact damage from the drop.

It's a really minor QoL nitpick that's kind of job lore entrenched, but you are not alone in thinking about it, OP, ha ha.

Just pointing out what I believe to be an oversight. It just happens to be after the job was adjusted, but I could have made the same topic a year ago. It has nothing to do with effectiveness in battle. If no reduced fall damage, then it would be nice to know why the dev team decided to omit such a trait.

Sure you can have it but it will replace one of your good traits.

This would actually be cool if they added it; I thought it was silly too.

Maybe as a trait in Heavensward from 50-60.

Eh...pretty sure this is false. Been a while since the job quests, but I'm pretty sure that several times in the quest line you see a Dragoon jump and land without the aid of the spear just like a Ninja would. Dragoons are just naturally able to do that.

    This gave me a chuckle.

Drgs you are fine. Take your extra falling damage like men.
