The day leve's SP was boosted by leve link (think somewhere in november around the static SP changes) leve groups became "the thing" to do because you can link it, and slowly behest with that because its right there.

Just commenting on this, leve linking and the bost in SP has been in the game since beta, not November. The adjustment to SP in nov was to the party bonus, which inadvertently affected leve SP.

Actually, there was no SP boost during beta and for the first 2 months of retail. That was when the game forced you to link, and you didn't have an option.

Leve linking players will now receive experience and skill point bonuses.
