    A suggestion to make Hunts Relevant again.

    Why not make it so you have a cap on how many Poetic Tomestones you can get weekly from hunts, for example maybe have the cap be 125 Poetic Tomestones only.

    S Ranks shouldn't be affected by the HUNTSMAN weekly cap though as they're not as common and can take longer to spawn. S Ranks should give 20 Poetics each.

    A Ranks should give you 10 Poetics each.

    B Rank should only give you 5 Poetics weekly from doing the weekly Elite Mark Bill.


    By making HUNTS capped people will be able to do both Dungeons and Hunts again without favoring one or the other.

    -TLDR-
    Hunts Poetic Tomestones Capped <- 125 Poetic Tomestones
    S Ranks - 25 Poetics <- Not Affected by HUNTS cap
    A Ranks - 10 Poetics <- Affected by HUNTS weekly cap
    B Rank - 5 Poetics weekly from Elite Mark Bill <- Affected by HUNTS weekly cap

    Cap will still be 450 but other ways of obtaining Tomestones. e.g. 125/450 after reaching HUNTS cap

    I was with you till "Not Affected by cap"... the cap is there to keep people from spamming dungeons to get all the best gear by week's end. I agree that more need to drop, but nothing should be exempt from the weekly cap.

    The main reason why Hunts aren't so popular now is because most player prioritise time for value rather than time for enjoyment. If there's not enough material reward, people just aren't interested.

    The original intention of Hunts was for small groups to do, especially good for a small FC based group to go out and enjoy. But because the time for value of Hunts in 2.3 was higher than anything else in the game, players flocked to it and broke the entire design intention of it. Now that Hunts don't offer that value players don't care anymore.

    I don't think your suggestion will have too much impact. It's not hard to get your poetics capped. And allied seals do nothing for your i120 gear which is what players are focused on now. If Carbon items were added to the rewards, though, I'd expect the value of Hunts to shoot right back up.

    I actually enjoy doing them now, personally. They're far more fun to do with only 6-8 people in a party. I'd much prefer changes to the system that keep it fun and similar to the intended design (claimed/spawned that only your party/alliance can attack) rather than just inflate the rewards to make it valuable again. I'd love to see a ZNM style system from XI being added (minus the "take photos of enemies" thing it required you to do; perhaps add pop items to dungeons/other content to keep things varied).

    I say S ranks should have a extremely rare chance of dropping a cool item relevant to the monster. Such as Garlok: chance of dropping demon wings, equipped to chest piece

    I would be really disappointed if they put the Carbontwine and Carboncoat in the Allied Seals vendor. I'm not against catching up, but they should include them in a different content, for example, ONLY in the World of Darkness. Edit: This is because the hunts shouldn't be the only thing to do, all the remaining content loses value when you can get everything just in one place.

    This. Hunts are perfectly fine and perfectly relevant as they are.

    Daily Mark Bills are the only thing that need changing, because those are just horrible.

    I would prefer to see alexandrites drop from hunts, or at least let me trade these now-worthless logs in for them.
